I was wondering (since I live in NSW, and born in WA) if a Victorian could tell me what towns the following abbreviations stand for

1) Boro

2) C. Hill

I'd say they must be around the Sunshine, Maidstone, Footscray, Carlton area? as thats where the children were born in the early 1900s.

Boro = Boroondara
C Hill = Clifton Hill

I am in NSW too, but I think these are what they are

Clifton Hill is east of Carlton, north of Fitzroy and Collingwood.
Boroondara is now a city covering the area around Kew and Hawthorn a little further east of Clifton Hill.
Sunshine, Maidstone, Footscray are further west than Carlton.

They are all suburbs of Melbourne, try google maps -
