I can't see him in 1881 or 1891 either. I also can't see another death that could be him.

He's a lodger with no family with him and a railway porter. Still can't find him in 1881. :(

With Fanny Goddard, a widow, and her children! (suspicious or not??)

In 1881 Fanny Goddard is a widow with three children. No sign of Josiah. :(

I notice he is part of a pedigree resouce file on familysearch. The submitter seems to be a lady in Dunblane.

Thanks Anne & Marg :)

Parracombe & Georgeham PRs are full of his family so he must be on quite a few trees.
