Have already got the certificate 1860 but decided to obtain a copy of the parish record.
Couldn't work out what the middle name of the father of the groom was - when I asked it said John and Helen - whey I got the Mum's name too.
Same with the bride - got her Mum's name too.
So definitely worth looking on the parish record if you don't have the info (these were irish parents and only the father's names were on the certificate).
Don't know if it was a one off or all parish priests did it.
