Around what dates would she have married George Henry King? When did Thomas Dix die?

Margaret, Mary Ann was a widow in the 1881 census and she was married to Henry in the 1891 census.

Clifton is where? There seem to be loads of them according to Google maps.

What registration district are we looking at ?

Just checked the 1871 census and answered my own question

I can't find a marriage, I wonder if they didn't actually marry.

Clifton is the posh part of Bristol. The records usually come under Gloucestershire rather than Somerset.

Margaret, I've often thought the same because I've searched for her and Henry's marriage many times and not found it.

Have you found the death of Thomas Dix?

Could the fact that she didn't remarry be because he was still alive?

No, never found his death.
You may be right, he was a sailor, perhaps he didn't come back from one of his trips.
