I think I have reached a complete stone (forget brick) wall with the Kirkby/Sawrey/Addison family in Lancashire, however I did find this gem, which may help others.

Searching for a baptism for Jane Chippindall/Chippindale, I found this..pity this one isn't mine....

Baptisms: 31 Oct 1814 St Peter, Manchester, Lancashire, England
Mary Jane Chippindall - Child of John Chippindall & Mary
Born: 8 Aug 1814
Abode: Manchester
Occupation: Calico Printer
Notes: Thomas S. of the same John & Mary Chippindall, born Oct 12 1815 And Sarah their
daughter born Sep 9th 1816 were privately baptized by me, about a month after birth, &
are registered at St Ann's Lancaster July 11th 1817
Baptised by: Jereh Smith

Now.......Thomas and Sarah's baptisms are not listed seperately, so unless you searched for Mary Jane's baptism, you wouldn't find them.

Maybe something to ponder....

Not mine either Libby.

It may explain why only 3 of 12 children in my family were baptised but the minister sadly didn't make a note like your example did.

Thanks for that Libby - it's well worth bearing in mind.

Was that on FreeReg?

Enfield Presbyterian Church -

During the 1940's, two young rabitters from Oamaru apparently used the Pulpit Bible for target practise. The .22 bullet penetrated as far as Deuteronomy..... (From "Country Churches of New Zealand ", 2002)

I found this gem recently.
