My FMP subscription came up for renewal today, but I have cancelled it.
They upgraded me to Pro in the spring, which meant I could have unrestricted access to the 1921 Census.

However, they wanted £199.99 for renewal, and that was with the loyalty discount. At present we have builders in until Christmas and I have no time to research seriously so I decided to let the subscription lapse.

I'm hoping there will be some good offers early next year to tempt me back. I really don't think that loyalty necessarily pays.

I still have my Ancestry subscription.

You can get a 3 month Premium sub which includes the 1921 census now. It is showing a cost of £59.99 for that one when I look at gift subscriptions, or £199.99 for an annual one.

It was the Premium subscription I had, not the Pro. I've corrected it now.

They are now offering me £159.99 for 12 months.

Not much point being a loyal customer on autorenew!

Wow, that's a good deal.

It doesn't pay to be loyal.

They are offering me and other lapsed subscribers a 40% discount!
Premium subscription £141.59 if I subscribe by 1st February!

It says £119.99 for me, Elizabeth. I got an email with a link which took me to the Australian subscription page and didn't show a discount, but I finally realised that if I went to the UK site and logged in and made sure to choose the 12 months tab, it would show the discount properly. Think I will take out a sub.

Wow. How do I find that?
I want the Premium (top) subscription.

I'm on autorenew, for 12 Month Premium, due in a few days.

It says "Payment on due date: £169.99 - 15% loyalty discount - Your loyalty discount will be applied upon renewal."

Does that mean I pay £169.99 or £150,29?.

Anyone know how long you have to have lapsed before being offered the discount? I use FMP very often.

The full price for a 12 month Premium subscription at the moment is £199.99, so a 15% discount on that would mean subtracting £30, making the discounted price £169.99.

I don't know the answer to your other question, but my subscription expired on the 6th Jan, I received an offer to resubscribe with a 20% discount on the 9th Jan (I think that one was personal to me), and then the more general 40% discount offer appeared on the 25th Jan. The 40% offer ends on 31st Jan so if your sub expires after that it would be no use to you anyway, unless you can get customer support to give it to you. But if you let your sub expire, you might well get a better offer than 15%.

I recently renewed mine. About three weeks ago. I paid £169.99 including a 15% discount.

Apparently this page will link through to the 30% discount offer if you click on the image once the page has loaded:

Let us know if it works!

Kate, it wasn't working yesterday when they offered it to me. The link on the email gave 30% discount for 3 months but when I clicked on 12 months it reverted to 20% discount.

After some toing and froing with Customer Support, the offer now works. 12 months' premium for £139.99, which I'm going to accept over the weekend! I haven't had a subscription since October. We have been very busy with builders so I haven't had a lot of time but now I will be able to use the site more. I have still been using it as even without being able to view images you can gain a fair amount of information.

I've just renewed for £139.99 for a 12-month Premium Subscription.

I reckoned I would be unlikely to be offered anything better than the 30% discount.

I will cancel before it expires next year then wait again until a good offer turns up. It's not worth going on auto renewal.
