I know FMP regularly updates these records, opening entries for people who have passed their 100th birthday. Two questions:

1) Does anyone know how often 'regularly' is?

2) Can anyone clarify when FMP last opened records having done their own search to confirm the death of an individual? I didn't know if they continued doing this after the 2million newly opened records in 2017 included lots of well known living people? Did they carry on with smaller releases and if they did, when did that end (if it did)?

1) I was keeping track of this because I was waiting for a certain rellie's record to be opened, but now we are past that I haven't been checking. It is usually about every 3 months. If you check the number of records for people born in each month of 1923, there is a sharp drop after April so I guess that is where they are up to.
2) No, they have never repeated this as far as I know. Also they opened the records of lots of not-well-known living people as well as the well-known ones.

Thanks Kate, 1) is what I suspected. 2) I've been searching to try and find something that backs up what you think (and which is what I thought too), but of course, I can't find anything. FMP obviously would not announce that they have stopped something potentially useful, because they made too many mistakes!

They have just opened records for those born between May 1923 and Nov 1923 (inclusive).
