I thought Ancestry had J 77 divorce records online. But I am blowed if I can find them.

Am I just missing them?
Were they never there?

Help!

This says it's J 77:

I just searched the card catalogue for the word divorce and this was the only match.

Thanks, Merry.

I hadn't realised that they chickened out and stopped in 1918. Be really useful if they released them up to 1923. That explains why I found nothing.

But when I searched on divorce as a keyword, nothing turned up. Wierd.

Yes, I would like the divorces from the early 20s too!

Here is one from 1934 on TNA (my grandfather is the co-respondent):
https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C8073737

If you can find the one that you are after on there, you can order a copy from TNA.

As for Ancestry, it looks as though if they ever get round to updating that database this year, they should add them up to 1922.
