The Will with a Codicil of Jane Newton late of Bankside Southwark in the County of Surrey widow deceased who died 6 July 1865 at Central Hill Upper Norwood in the County aforesaid was proved at the Principal Registry by the Oaths of James Newton of Bankside aforesaid Brick and Tile Merchant the Son and Joseph Newton of Bankside aforesaid Brick and Tile Merchant the Grandson two of the Executors.

When Jane's son James Newton married in 1834, one of the witnesses was Arnold Hall, son of James and Martha Hall of Stalybridge. Arnold was born in 1807. I have been developing a tree for Arnold and the Halls but still can't see where Jane Hall fits in.

I've been doing an Ancestry tree for Arnold Hall's family but haven't tied these in.

I've started a tree with Jinney as the root person.

Thomas and Sarah Hall had a daughter Harriot born c. 1784.
One entry for the baptism says this:

Thomas Hall and Sarah Cooper married on 22nd August 1773 at St Michael, Ashton-under-Lyne.
Thomas might have been born c. 1750.

The Joseph and Martha Hall whose descendants include Arnold married on 26 June 1748 at Saint Michael,Ashton Under Lyne, so it is feasible for them to be Thomas' parents.

Joseph died in 1799 and there was an administration. Joseph Hall, Hatter, and James Hall, cotton manufacturer, were administrators. I think they were his sons. No Thomas mentioned, but that isn't necessarily a problem.

Thomas Hall doesn't appear to have left a will, which is a great shame.
