According to various Ancestry trees, Francis Tims-Smith had vital dates:

Birth 15 MAR 1757 • Nash, Buckinghamshire, England

Death 15 AUG 1839 • Whaddon, Buckinghamshire, England

His parents are given as Francis Smith and Jane Timms.

As his death is recorded as Francis Timbs, I assume his parents were not married when he was born, and may not ever have married.

I further assume that someone has done proper research which has been copied remorselessly.

Are the baptisms for Nash online somewhere? I cannot find them on Family Search.

So he was Francis Smith TIMMS, and Esther's baptism was presumably that of daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Smith-Timms.
