Today, I wanted to look at a 1939 register record that I have previously downloaded, but am unable to find it on my pc. I know that I downloaded loads once during a free weekend on FMP, so I should have them somewhere. It is possible they got lost when I changed my pc but I can't be sure. Obviously I can see on FMP the records I have viewed but as I don't have a sub, I can't view them. Is there any way to view them without subscribing and if I do need to subscribe, would I need to get a sub which includes the 1939?

You should be able to pay-per-view, Lynn. They recently brought in a system of "micropayments" although it doesn't seem to be available on my account yet, but hopefully it is on yours! There is info here with a 1939 Register page as an example:

You may have to do a search for the record on the 1939 Register rather than go via your list of previously viewed records.

Thanks Kate, that does look interesting. It doesn't seem to be available on my account eitherh yet.

I don't know how much of the 1939 Register records you want but for £16.99 Pro per month might be better it allows access to the register and newspapers plus World. It could work out cheaper in the long run but remember to uncheck auto renew.

Is it just one record you need at the moment?

I am sorted for the records I intially need thanks. But I will definitely need to go and redownload all my previously downloaded records at some point. It is so annoying that I obviously downloaded them, but never got round to sorting them out and adding them to my FTM
