I wonder if anyone could look up Agathe Blanche Giacobbi in the Paris records. If you just put Agathe Giacobbi and nothing else in the search, it should come up.

The is a birth or baptism record there. Thanks.

Libby, not sure if this helps or hurts!

NAME: Agathe Blanche Giacobbi
RECORD TYPE: Naissance (Birth)
BIRTH DATE: 1 mars 1856 (1 Mar 1856)
BIRTH PLACE: Paris, France

AND

NAME: Agathe Blanche Giacobbi
RECORD TYPE: Naissance (Birth)
BIRTH DATE: 19 févr. 1856 (19 Feb 1856)
BIRTH PLACE: Paris, France

These two entries are on two successive pages, right next to each other, in Paris, France, Births, Marriages, and Deaths, 1792-1930.

a tree - maybe you will know if it is correct ?? same birth date as Janets post - the second date - 19th February 1856 - so that one looks OK ? looks like she had twin daughters

Thank you. I don’t think it’s any connection. She was born after our Agatha died but wondered if she could be a later child of her husband.

This old post suggests her parents were Alexandre Giacobbi and his wife Caroline.

Yes, sorry I just found that. There is another tree which has her daughter as Caroline and no parents. It also has Agathe married name as Giacobbi.

Some trees really annoy me........lol

Ahem... (Blanche's father Alexandre was François Giacobbi's brother):

Thank you Mary. I have just read those links. I must admit bits of it are coming back to me. I’m sure the drugs I needed for sepsis or the cancer drugs have taken great chunks of my memory.
I was reading an article online and got all excited because I figured the writer must be a close relative of mine. Then saw I had actually written it. Didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. I really don’t remember writing it.

However, my daughter reminded me she was 16 when she got her tonsils out. I remember that, but for the life of me, cannot remember one other thing about that. I would have taken her, waited while she was in surgery and probably stayed all day for the couple of days she was in hospital. I cannot remember one part of that.

It’s like there are chunks of memory gone. I have had a brain MRI and they did find a brain......lol......and nothing untoward, so they have put it down to the infection or the drugs.

If I ask stupid questions in future, just tell me to be quiet. xx

Never, Libby! The holes in your head match up nicely with the holes in mine.

Don't worry; as they say, there's no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid answers :)
