"My" James Moore is buried in Hamworthy in 1827, aged 40.

I have found the baptism of a James Moors in Poole, son of James and Susanna 11 November 1785:

There are no other children of this marriage that I can find.

Susanna Moore widow marries Henry Bush, bachelor and sojourner after banns 20 December 1788:

witnesses Robert Reekes, x Sarah Bailey, x Mary Roberts Maurice Harcourt (serial witness)

Ann the daughter of Henry and Susanna Bush is baptised 20 December 1788:

No further sign of Henry, Susanna or Ann - unless anyone can find anything to the contrary.

Only marriage for James b 1785 parent' marriage is:

James Moore sojourner b and Susanna Shepherd otp sp banns
16 Feb 1775 both mark with cross
witness x Philip Bignall and David Lawes (serial witness)

If this is the right marriage, sojourner suggests quite possibly that the men were sailors of some kind, possibly travelling to Newfoundland and back, with Ann several months old when baptised (I refuse to believe a woman can be married, give birth AND have a child baptised on the same day!)

Can anyone see anything more about Susanna and her two spouses?

Other children of James and Susanna baptised at Poole:
Anne Moore 19 Nov 1775
George Moore 27 Jul 1781

also Silas Moore son of Susanna, baptised 3 Apr 1779 but no father's name.

For some reason Ancestry didn't bring them up when I searched by year of birth; I had to put "any event" year instead.

There is an Anne Moore burial 13 Nov 1788.

Oh, well done. Kite. Ancestry certainly wasn't picking those up for me.

I have had a lot of problems with Ancestry over the last few weeks refusing to show me entries I've already found when I've included 'too much' information in the search, which should have been perfectly fine. Usually restricting a date range has been a problem.

On one search it has given me 2k results, and on page two, results 51 - 36

I might try again tomorrow!

I have established that Susanna appears to be daughter of Silas, but he's someone who appears never to have married or died.
