Ancestry has acquired Clever Digit Media, which owns and operates Forces War Records.

That's interesting. I suppose it may be true that "Forces War Records is the leading British military genealogy-specialist website" but that doesn't really mean much - Ancestry and Findmypast are both much better than FWR for looking at military records.

I hope it doesn't mean that Ancestry will be putting any future UK military records that they acquire onto FWR instead of Fold3, and then making people pay extra yet again to view them!

Forces War Records seems to be the same as Fold3 now, just the UK version of the site, like Ancestry itself has a UK and a US site.
