Justinian Morse married Mary Curtis, 1613 in Marlborough. I believe the record states where they are both from but I can't make out the names. Can anyone else? It's the first record in 1613.

The closest I can find for the first one on Genuki in Wiltshire is Haydon.

I found a transcription which says Heydon and Castleton - link below (it is a PDF). I can believe the Castle bit but the end doesn't look like "ton".

Oh, wait, it could be one of those people who sometimes couldn't be bothered to write the letter "n" and put in a mark to show they had missed it out. But there seems to be another letter between the e and the t, so could be Castleaton? Since there is a place called Castle Eaton near Swindon, I guess that is it.

Thanks for that Kite. The link explains where a few DNA links have their info from and also over 16000 other family trees!

I thought that the first one read Grydon, Haydon makes more sense.

Still can't find a link to my Justinian Morse/Moss but there must be one with such an unusual name.

There is branch of the Morse family in Castle Eaton!
