Thomas Blackmore married Elizabeth White on 6 May 1794 at Bishops Lydeard according to an FMP transcription.

I can not find the marriage on ancestry, they do not have registers for that period and neither do familysearch, although familysearch says some years are missing or have illegible dates.

Do I accept this date given I can not verify it?

It's on FreeREG which I think tends to have good transcribers:

FreeREG also has a transcription: 6 May 1794 Bishops Lydeard, Thomas Blackmoor / Elizabeth White.

Edit - snap, Merry!

Looking at FreeREG transcriptions pages, there are no BTs for the 20 year period this marriage falls in, but this transcript has come from the PRs.

Thank you both. I did look at freereg but forgot to check Blackmoor, Blackmon which he also appears under for other things.

I wish I could see the image but the PRs don't seem to be online.

On problem down. Next one to deal with. I think I have a DNA match for Thomas's brother, I just have to prove he has one first.:rolleyes:

There's a tick box for Name Soundex on FreeREG.

Thanks Merry. I will admit to not using it much and forgetting to check such things.
