I have just read with great astonishment an article you wrote on the Lincolnshire 'Smiths' family for the Family Tree Forum. Some years ago my husband and I researched his family tree with some difficulty because his surname is Smith. However, fortunately it was made somewhat easier by his grandfather having the name John Free Smith. Having read your article all the connections of my husbands family are there. In fact my father in law Walter Smith was able to give some basic information about his grandfather Geoge Smith. We have quite a lot of information in which you may be interested, including a letter written by Agnes Smith (nee Weatherstone) on a visit she made to Kelso to see relatives. Also a hand written note by Agnes on the dates and times of her childrens births (and deaths).
