My gt x 2 grandparents, William Williams and Ann Mealing had twin sons.
Don't know their birth date but they were baptised 14 Jan 1862

Robert was buried 21 Jan aged 4 days, which doesn't work. His brother Joseph is the next entry in the register, buried 6 April aged 10 weeks, which also doesn't work.

How sad for the parents and yes that maths is very bad.

The two ages at death could work together though, couldn't they (near enough)? What's the date of the following baptism?

The links won't open on my phone.

What if they were born on the 14th Jan, baptised the same day, Robert died late on the 18th / early on the 19th, so age 4 days, and buried on the 21st, Joseph died 31st Mar, age 10 weeks 6 days, and buried on the 6th Apr?

Yep, that works! Now I can read everything at once and not having to memorise parts (back at home now!)

Thank you KiteRunner! Silly me, it was the burial date recorded, not the date of death!
It was sad, both babies dying. As they were twins they may have been premature. Ann had another child, my gt grandfather, in 1862, the same year that her brother was found innocent on the grounds of insanity of killing Sarah Moss.
