James Godman of ???

James Godman marries Jane Wells on 10th April 1688 at Shipton under Wychwood. She's from Farringdon but I can't work out where he's from. It maybe in either Oxfordshire or Berkshire.

It looks like Cankut. Could it be Kencot? Not too far away and a few entries there for Godman and variants.

There's a possible baptism in 1661 in Kencot (not the only one though!)

Thanks Merry. I had to Google Kencot I'd no idea where it is :d. Not very far from Farringdon so seems quite likely.
