I have mention of one of these in an accident report in Essex in 1913
It says that 'the policemen didn't even stop to put on their helmets' in their efforts to get to the scene.

Because I am writing it up as a story I really would like to have a picture of one if at all possible but the Essex records office website doesn't seem to have anything.

Do you think that the ambulance would have been horse drawn, man drawn or even motorised?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as it has piqued my interest.

There's a City of London one here (https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/452682200032750649/)

Essex Police Museum (https://museum.essex.police.uk/) might be able to help you

I googled Ambulance 1913 and all the images for the UK that I looked at were motorised. I did see two horse drawn, but they were both photos taken in Australia!

Thanks Merry, I knew they were motorised in the war.
As I had googled Police ambulances I will go back to google and try just the word Ambulance 1913
