Once a year I meet up with my aunt and uncle, both now in their nineties but still full of marbles. We were discussing my grandparents, a very mis matched couple and my uncle told me the following gem, as told to him by his father, my grandfather.
He and my grandmother were on their honeymoon. Grandmother was sitting up in bed sewing something (so not your usual honeymoon then!) and dropped her needle in the bed. Grandad got into bed and sat hard on the needle which went into his buttock. Grandmother had to go in search of pliers with which to remove the needle but insisted on getting fully dressed before she did so as she felt it would be very common to wander a hotel in her night things!
Why oh why did no one tell.me this story before!
