Good Morning
I have tried for 3 days now to research on Familysearch - but the search box is continuously faded and won't click - has anyone else had this problem please ?

Can you try a different browser, Allan?

Seems fine with Chrome.

Could be a cookie/cache issue, Allan.

What's the address of the page you are trying to use?

Are you logged in, Allan?

Didn't they have a thing about you having to register before a certain point?

I registered last night to use it at home. Two minute process. So if you haven't already, try registering

I've had the same problem these last few weeks.

However it says it doesn't support my browser although it is the most up to date Microsoft one.

I've had exactly the same message for the past few weeks as Julie, and my browser is also the latest Microsoft one.

Virtually nothing on the site works in Internet Explorer 11 now, even though its the most up to date version of IE and still gets security updates. Up until recently you could search the catalogue and the rest of the site, but that now doesn't work after a recent upgrade. It does work with Microsoft Edge and other browsers.

I usually use Opera browser for FamilySearch at the moment and it works o.k. for me on that.

No problem getting in. I use Firefox...but agree that familysearch require you to be registered now. Simple process.

Yes, it does, but the Search button isn't greyed out if you aren't logged in. It lets you search and then tells you to register or sign in before it will show you the results. So if the Search button is greyed out, it's not because you need to log in.

OH has now installed Microsoft Edge as an alternative browser and it seems to work though I haven't done a proper search as yet.

I had that notice but it stopped about a week ago - thanks for all your suggestions - I will try "registering again " - but it will be later on ...my neice aged 45 has just messaged me she has no electricity - so I am going there about 8am ......thanks again

Like I said, I don't think it makes any difference to the search button whether you are registered / logged in or not.

Like Allan said, he is just trying his best to get on the site.....

Following on from the helpful advice in post 12 and the good news in post 16, I have now used Microsoft Edge successfully, so many thanks to you both for helping me also.
