Banns between Zachariah Rudd and Mary Cutton/Cutten were called at Thelveton, Norfolk 6th, 13th and 20th March 1774 but they don't appear to be married there.

The Banns entry reads Zachariah Rudd, singleman of this parish and Mary Cutton/Cutten, singlewoman. No parish is given for Mary!

Can anyone spot a marriage anywhere?

Thanks

How very odd. Thelveton doesn't seem to have any marriages at all in that period. Could it have been a daughter church to another parish?

Her surname looks like Cullen to me, if that's any help.

Thelveton is pretty close to the border, so maybe they married in Suffolk.

I noticed a gap date wise 16/10/1769 - 10/10/1775 but no missing pages in the register.

I've thought that for a lot of years Kate.

Zachariah and Mary's son Zachariah married a Sarah Cutting in 1814, she was born in Botesdale, Suffolk according to the 1851 census. I've always wondered if she was a relation of Mary Cutten/Cutton/Cutting (Cutting is given as her maiden name on one of their children's baptisms).

A much later Zachariah marries a Sarah Cutting. It's a good East Anglian surname.
