Not sure if I can ask it on here, but it can be deleted if not.

FMP will cost me AU$240 (approx. $20 per month).

Is that reasonable?

I am sure that it was half that, when I last purchased it. Thanks. Julie

When I looked at the new sub rates last November, I reckoned that "Also, if you want a UK Pro sub, it looks as though the Australian annual world sub is much better value. "

The UK Pro sub currently costs 156 GBP for a year whereas your AU$240 equates to about 130 GBP according to XE Currency Converter. So I guess it is reasonable.

If you do take out the sub, and if you are planning to subscribe for a year, it looks as though it's better to pay for the whole year up front if you can afford to, as you get the 1939 Register included that way and not if you pay monthly.

Thanks Kate. What is the 1939 Register please?

Similar to a census, taken in 1939, but they only have England and Wales, not Scotland, and it doesn't include people who were serving in the military when it was taken.

It gives people's names and occupations, and exact date of birth, but not their place of birth.

Thank you. I might try a monthly sub first and then see from there how much I use it. Thanks ladies.

Check out the conversion rates for fmp.com. The US $ might be better in the end.
