I have a distant rellie, William Chowns who married Mary Kasta 20 Jun 2852 at St Mark's, Kennington (Lambeth).
I've got back into researching now and wanted to add some detail to Mary. But I can't find anything!
The marriage transcript (unfortunately image not available on Ancestry - marriages go up to beginning of June and then stop!) has Mary's father as William Kasta, but says she is a widow.
So either she isn't a widow or she is and she married a relative, or there's an error in recording her surname or her father's.
In 1861 she gives age as 42 and birthplace Llanteglos Cornwall.
In 1871 she has age 49 {!) and birthplace as Looe Cornwall.
Can't find any Mary births in those places. Can't find any Mary Kastas or William Kastas either. Help!
