This couple married by Licence at St Mary Portsea on 2nd November 1815. Laurance was of HMS Pelican.

I have his British Navy Allotment declaration from before his marriage.

Is this it on ancestry? It does say 33 at the top of the page, matching the end of that reference no.

There is a Lawrence Horrie on Find a Grave:

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/132604672

Died 18 Jan 1846 Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. Buried at Peterhead Old Churchyard. It says on there that this is the same Lawrence as the one you're looking for, but you never know with Find a Grave what information is actually taken from the headstone or burial details and what has been added by researchers.

Edit - it does show that Maria is buried there too, 9 Nov 1839, so looks likely to be the right people.

Findmypast has Laurance Horrie listed on the 1841 Scotland census at Peterhead, age 70. Lawrance Morrie on ancestry. On Scotland's People as Laurance Horrie.

Thanks, Kate. I saw the 1841 Census but wasn't sure it was him.
Thanks for the Findagrave information, which confirms it is them.

do you know their childrens names ?
Bessie - a marriage / Julia- birth and marriage / Andrew / Barbara / James / William births - all in Peterhead,Aberdeen ...is this Laurence and Marias children - or another family ...most Horrie trees go back to Kirkwall and St Ola , Orkney Isles - I wonder is it a Viking name ??
