I have a birth for a Theodor Encil G Hassmann
1903 June qtr Wolverhampton 6b 598
I can't find him in 1911. I have a marriage for him in 1931 to Mary Hilda Watson.
I think his parents could have been Franz T Hassmann and Alice L Hassmann who are on the 1901 in Yardley. RG13; Piece: 2923; Folio: 134; Page: 35
Franz was born in Germany in 1878 and Alice in Wolverhampton in 1877

There is a tree on Ancestry with these people in.
I'm uncertain of it.
According to this tree in 1911 they were in Falkirk, Scotland.
There is a record of a Naturalisation which says:
Home Office 405/22152
HASSMANN, A Date(s) of birth: 21.01.1888
Reference:H 18408
Home Office 144/1130/206113
Hassmann, Francis, from Germany. Resident in Falkirk. Certificate 20668 issued 8 September 1911.
Reference: 206113
BUT
According to this tree they were in Falkirk 1906, 1908 and 1911 even though they had a daughter born in 1909 in Wolverhampton.

Nope - no joy, I'm afraid, Marg. I stuck in the minimum info, and can't find any of the little darlings. Perhaps they had already beetled back to Falkirk? Sorry I can't help more. I even stuck just the name 'Franz', born in Germany, birth year five years either side, but no luck - kept getting timed-out.

Is the 1911 Scottish census online yet?
I've never done any Scottish research, haven't a clue.

No, we'll have to wait a couple of years yet for that one, Margaret.

Thanks Kate, just googled and found the same answer.
Were Alice's parents in Wolverhampton in the 1900's?
Maybe she went home to have the babies and went back to hubby after the birth?

I haven't checked that Kit. It's a bit of a sideways shoot. Two of the sons married into a family I am researching. They were both married in Wolverhampton and stayed there as far as I can see.
