Missing in 1861?

I have a family missing in the 1861 census and wondered if someone else may be able to locate them, I have searched and searched.

They are in St Giles in London in the 1841,1851 and 1871, so must be there in the 1861

Mary Ruth wife M 43 ditto
Wiliam Ruth son 19 ditto
Mary Ruth dau 14 ditto
George Ruth son age? a scholar
Elizabeth Ruth dau 6 ditto
Anne Ruth 4 and Emma Ruth 10 months

Christine - thankyou so much, I knew they had to be there, but tried many variations of the surname - Rust, Rush etc - I didn't think about the christian names being shortened.

I am most grateful.

That was an interesting enumerator Christine. He may have abbreviated all the christian names, but in the place of birth he wrote the names of the streets they were born in, which is of added interest - an excellent find all round thanks to you.

Doesn't your Ancestry search find Thos if you enter Thomas (and Geo for George and Willm for William)? I still use the 'old search' with exact matching only and they all came up instantly, regardless of the shortened forenames.
