Records past 1900

When do you think records after 1900 might go online? Or do you know if they are being digitised already?

FMP and ancestry often go only up to 1900.

I'm not after records up to current times but I would love parish registers up to 1915 or 16 to find my grandma and her siblings.

I should think for any particular parish, one of the factors will be whether FamilySearch have already filmed the parish registers past 1900 or not. Also, whether the 20th century parish registers are still held by the parish church or have been given to the record office.

Thanks Kate. I hadn't thought of that.

The one I am thinking of says it has been filmed to 1916. I thought I could see it online previously at familysearch but no cannot now, although I may be mistaken. It says I have to go into a branch now.

Very likely as that is the case with quite a few collections now.
