I have an image of the baptismal entry for one of my 8x-great-grandfathers. The image is very faint, and I have been playing with it to see if I can improve its legibility.
It is just beneath the burial of his grandfather.
Would anyone look at it for me to see if they can decipher it? I have my own transcription but would appreciate another pair of eyes. I would e-mail it across.

I should say that the birth date and the baptism date have been transcribed, but I want the full wording.
Would you put in the link, Elizabeth?

Phoenix, it is a Sussex baptism from Family Search, for which you have to sign in. The parish is Cocking. It's image 51 out of 559.

Elizabeth, I'm looking at image no 51 but which entry are you asking about?

John Andrew, son of John. Just beneath the burial of his grandfather William Andrew. Right-hand page.
I have fiddled with the image a lot and can read it better now, but it would be interesting to know what others make of it.

Oh, it's in between 1653 and 1654. No wonder I didn't spot it before! Unfortunately the top of the image is blurred out on my screen at the moment. I'll try again a bit later.

Fantastic, I had the same. I did have to adjust the settings. Many thanks, Kate.
