Are there any deals for ancestry at the minute - mine runs out on Monday.

Also how do you go about cancelling? I can't seem to see a way of doing it and I don't want it to automatically renew.

I always phone them, Julie, because I don't trust the cancelling online to work.

The phone number is 0800 404 9723 and is staffed 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday.

But I just remembered I have seen people posting on Facebook recently that the phone number wasn't working.

The other way to do it is to click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen, select "Your Account" and then over on the right in the Subscription Options, select "Cancel subscription". But like I said, I'm not sure whether that always works.

Can't see anything about cancelling Kate. Just wants me to upgrade.

Will give the telephone number a go. - looks like the phone has taken me to aus link.

Ok finally got through on the phone - message kept directing me to Oz site and even going there whilst waiting for phone to be answered it still didn't bring up the cancel subscription on my account page.

However after I cancelled I told the lad and he said where it should be and lol and behold it had suddenly appeared. He couldn't explain why it wasn't there before but perhaps a glitch.
