For the UK, no, you can't exactly view the BMD certificates free online.

England and Wales:
There are a lot of church marriage registers online and the post-1837 ones are (normally) the same as marriage certificates; some are on ancestry and some on Findmypast which some libraries and record offices (archives) provide free access to. Or you can take out a free trial with either or both of those sites, also sometimes they have free access weekends.

The same sites have various baptism registers online, which give some of the same information as birth certificates, but often a birth certificate gives more information than a baptism entry. Same goes for burial registers / death certificates.

Otherwise, you have to buy copies from the GRO or local register offices.

Scotland: the BMD certificates can be viewed online on the Scotland's People website but you have to buy credits to view them, or go to the Scotland's People Centre in Edinburgh.

Northern Ireland: GRONI online - similar to Scotland's People - https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/services/go-groni-online
