died mar qtr 1947

this is my sister in laws aunty who died as a baby - her dad is still alive and has just lost his wife 4 weeks ago - since then he is constantly talking about Ruby ,his sister because he was in the Army overseas and never got to see her..my sister in law thinks it might cheer him up if we can find what the V stood for ...if anyone can help please:)

I wasn't expecting this to be in Sussex. I don't think they have the equivalent of Lancs BMD which might have listed middle names. Trying to think of another way, other than buying a certificate.

The new online GRO death index includes 1947, so she is listed on there, and her middle name was Victoria.

How did you do that, Kate? I looked to search for it on the new index, but it only went up to 1911 so I must be looking in the wrong place.
