Does "age at pension 37/67" mean that he was born in 1767? I couldn't find which particular record you meant on FMP to check. Your other thread about him suggests that he was born about 1767, so I'm not sure why you think one of the 1761 baptisms could be him?

i found 4 main records the first one says he was 37 in 1797 with no wife and another one showed him at 67 in 1833 with wife lucy which would make his birth some where around 1760/1 give or take sorry to confuse

Scotland's People has the burial of a William Lamb, son of James, 4 Aug 1768 at St Cuthbert's Edinburgh. It shows age as 0 on the free search results but I don't know whether that means that the actual record says age 0 or if it maybe means no age shown. You could view the image on SP, and the images for the 1761 baptisms, to see whether they give any clues, for instance if the burial ties up with the baptism where the father is James, you would be able to rule that one out.
