The last page of this will has a note added on the right-hand side of the sheet which I am having trouble reading. Would someone be able to translate this for me please.

I think it is saying that on the 1st Feb 1629, Edmund Sander (as next of kin at that date) was granted administration of Thomas Sander's estate as it had been left unadministered by the original executor(s), but I have not managed to decipher and translate all the words.

Thank you for the information. The 1629 Edmund Sander would be the great grandson of the Thomas Sander who made the Will.
One further query I have - on the fifth line up from the bottom of the note, is that a reference to 'Alice Sander'?

Yes.

Stupid question time, sorry
If probate was granted to two of the executors (wife Alice and son Edmond) on 7 Jul 1566, but the estate had been left unadministered, and administration was granted on 1 Feb 1629 to the great grandson Edmund Sander, would this suggest that none of the bequests of land/property etc in the Will were carried out until 1629?

No, it could be that just part of it was left unadministered.

Ah, ok, thank you.
This 63 year gap could well be what has caused the differences in the lines of descent in the many on-line trees (plus publications and a book) for this family.
