Brown family search, suggestions please

I've purchased a number of postcards off ebay recently, they are from a single seller and handed down through a family over a number of years. They were taken by a relative of mine in Coalville. One has a name, Joe Brown, Vaughan Street, I have him in the 1911 and his marriage in the 1930's but after that I'm stumped. I'd love to try and put some names to the faces but not sure where to go with it as certs aren't an option for these. I've posted the images on several Coalville history sites with no luck. Any suggestions welcome for tracing Browns.

What about the 1939 register?

I've got Joe Brown in the 1939, with wife Dorothy (nee Carson), they never had children. It's through her the pictures have been handed down. I've also got Joe in the 1911, the pics of Joe and a couple of other chaps seem to show a family resemblance hence thinking the males could be Browns, the females shown I have no idea (there's probably a dozen cards)

I've tried a few deaths but nothing seems to match the 1904 birth, was hoping to find a will/probate entry that maybe named someone I could investigate.

I expect you saw there's a birth reg in 1903 as well as the one in 1904, but there are also two deaths, the man who was born in 1903 looks to have died in 1981 Q1 Coalville and the other one (prob yours?) Q1 1963 Leicester.

The 1963 death was 6 Feb (probate calendar) and the entry turns out to be an admin, to widow Ruth Catherine Brown (doesn't have to be his widow).

Hmmm, Ruth Catherine Draper married Joseph William Brown in 1947 in Barrow-upon-Soar district. I don't know if that helps? :D

What's Dorothy's dob in 1939?

Dorothy born 1905 according to the 1939, I had to grab what I could from FMP as the postcard was only listed a day before the sub ran out. Joe was a tobacconist, I did find a news cutting about the owner passing away and leaving monies to employees including Joe. in 1939.

Hmmm, there's no death for Dorothy Brown in Leicestershire between 1939 and the 1947 marriage, so that JWB looks like a red herring.

Of course they could have been divorced.

Dorothy Irene Brown b 20 Mar 1905 died in 1997 in Leicester district.

I think I'm chasing stuff too late for freebmd with this one, I'd just love to prove the folk in the pictures are related and add some names. They have got me curious after chasing them through 3 months of auctions :)

They are related to Dorothy and the cards came down to the seller from that family line, that's how we know it's Joe Brown of Vaughan Street but other than that they haven't got a clue about any others in the cards. There are around 18 in total, some are of the same people and some look like they are related to each other. It would have to be Browns though.
