I have Joseph Fletcher and family in 1851.

I cannot find any of them in 1861, although the family is in Low Street, Sutton on Trent in 1871.

It's all going swimmingly now, except for the fact that I cannot for the life of me find Frances Fletcher Swinson b JQ 1853 on the 1891 census. I convinced myself that she had died, but then I found her on the 1901 and 1911.

I think I need a refresher on how to find people. Joseph Fletcher still doesn't come up for me on the 1861.

If you just search for Joseph Fletcher (with no other information) and put Sutton as the keyword, you'll find him straight away.

This looks like Frances and family in 1891, but her birthplace is wrong:

That's the rest of the family. They weren't very imaginative with names, their son is George after his Dad and the daughter is also Frances.

There's an Ann in that Q, but in an earlier post you said Frances was born in 1853??

Maybe with all those George's and Frances's the enumerator missed her out when copying onto the folio sheet?
