Mary Owen married Thomas Blackmore on 28 Dec 1841 in Bridgwater Somerset. Her father is listed as Richard Owen, Labourer.

In 1851 Mary is living with her husband and children, her age is 31, born North Petherton and her mother is Betsy Owen, Ag lab widow HO107; Piece: 1923; Folio: 415; Page: 11

I believe Mary was baptised as Mary Owens on 11 June 1820, father Richard, lab and mother Betty.

There are other children and the mother is also called Elizabeth, the surname is always Owens.

There is a marriage at North Petherton between Richard Owens and Elizabeth Winn on 5 December 1802.

I think this is Richard and his wife on the 1841. FMP 1841 census (http://search.findmypast.com/record/browse?id=gbc%2f1841%2f0959%2f0388)

The writing is bad but I think it is Owens, not Owen. HO107, Piece 959
Book 23, Folio 6, Page number 6. I do not know who Susan is.

FreeReg have a death for a Richard Owen who lives in the same area as the 1841 census but the age doesn't quite work. FreeReg (http://freereg2.freereg.org.uk/search_records/55105d5de937900ae80d132b?search_id=570619c033045b8 d5d0000a9)

So my requests for help are:
1. Do you think the death is for my Richard?
2. Can anyone find a birth for Richard? (or his wife? I admit to not having looked at her at all)
3. can you find Thomas Blackmore and/or Mary Owen/s on the 1841 census
4. who is Susan Owen from the 1841 census?

Sorry for the long post.

1. Yes, I think it is, because I can't see another candidate on the 1841 census.

In case you don't have this already, Genuki has the baptism of a Nancy Owens, daughter of Richard and Betty, 17 May 1807, at Stoke St Mary.

4. Could be Susanna Owens, daughter of Richard, lab, and Betty, who was baptised at Thurlbear, Somerset, 17 Mar 1816 (from FreeREG). Thurlbear is very close to Stoke St Mary on Google Maps.

Oh, but there is a Richard Owens / Betty Jacobs marriage 22 Feb 1803 at Thurlbear (also from FreeREG), both of this parish. I will have to come back to this later as it looks complicated and I have to go out shopping! But it looks to me as though there are two couples and the couple you found in 1841 may be the wrong family.

I think you are right.

My Richard/Elizabeth/Betty/Betsy had all their children in North Petherton, I think:

Charlotte b 1803 d 1805
William b 1805
Jane b 1807
Charlotte b 1808
Harriot b 1811 (who may have had an illegitimate child Harriett Tazewell in 1834)
Jane b 1813
George b 1815
Mary b 1820
Betsy b 1823

There is this death for a Richard Owens in North Petherton in 1836.

FreeReg (http://freereg2.freereg.org.uk/search_records/56508882f493fd57050926b6?search_id=570646bb33045b5 9a2000906)

I had discounted this as the ages didn't work with the 1841 census but if I have that wrong one then maybe it does.

It would tie in with a baptism for a Richard in 1781 parents John and Susannah also in North Petherton.

There is an Elizabeth Owens, lab, age 64, at North Street, North Petherton on the 1841 census with a Harriet age 8. An ancestry member has "corrected" her name to Elizabeth (Betsy) Owen.
There is also a Betsy Owens age 70 in North Petherton village.

Thank you Kate. I knew a fresh set of eyes would help. :)
