View Full Version : My Smiths again
Just thinking about my annoying brick walls and wonder if I can find anything else about them.
This is the info I have from previous searches.

Have a few ideas, but travelling today, so will follow up later.
First, I have Scottish hawkers with Irish connections in my tree. As travellers, they moved a lot and were easily overlooked in census records. If they were Catholic, it's worth looking at the separate Catholic records on SP. While they moved around, they did tend to baptise children.

I think it will be easier if we post any replies on the old thread to keep all the info together, if that's o.k. with you, JBee?
Thanks Kite - oops yes had a senior moment and just attached it instead of putting a reply on it.
I can't imagine how frustrating it must be trying to do a Smith family tree. :o
