I wanted to make sure that all the info I had got so far was the correct before I started ordering certs,

I haven't found records of a marriage for an Edna Toft to Joseph Worthy.

or Marriage for Hannah Toft to a John Richards or a Death for Hannah. These I would like some help on if anyone can.

My Grandfather the son of Edna & Joseph Thomas had alot of family certs relating to his mother's side, but my uncle threw them away. as he had no interest in family history, I remember seeing them as a child, as it interested me as most had the X mark, which obviously as child I didn't know that it meant that they couldn't write.

Edna is down as Taft on the marriage index:
Marriages Mar 1879 (from FreeBMD)
Hughes Ann Ashton 8d 469
Robinson James Ashton 8d 469
Taft Edna Ashton under Lyne 8d 469
WORTHY Joseph Ashton 8d 469

And it is listed on Cheshire BMD, not Lancashire:
WORTHY Joseph TAFT Edna Ashton under Lyne, St Michael, register at Tameside, reference no CE4/25/46

I can't find them in 1901, so this could be Hannah's death reg (not certain as it is a very common name):
Deaths Oct-Dec 1895
Hannah Richards, age 55, Oldham, vol 8d, page 535.

Thankyou once again Merry & Kate. your help is very much appreciated. I will now start ordering certs, just wished my uncle hadn't thrown them away, it would have saved alot of time & indeed money!

From the National Probate Calendar for 1896:
RICHARDS Hannah of 9 Old-street Leetbrook Oldham (wife of John Richards) died 9 December 1895 Administration London 5 February to the said John Richards mason's labourer Effects £72 1s 6d.

This is the same address as on the 1891 census, so that death reg in post #10 is the right one.
