This year it's the Bradburys, a rollicking good time of a family originating in Bedworth and Foleshill, Warwickshire.

I think I'm going down a parallel line here. But once again, I'm stuck.

Bertram Walter Bradbury died in Coventry in 1998, at the age of 82 and whoever registered his death gave his birth date as 2 March 1916.

He was in Coventry in 1939, when he married, and gave a Coventry address in 1937, when he was committed for trial.

However, I can't find his birth anywhere! Would someone else be able to have a look? The closest I have got is Bertram William Bradbury, born in Aston in 1918, but he appears to have died in Birmingham in 2006.

Thanks

What's his father's name on his marriage cert, AN?

Also, have you found him on the 1939 Register?

There is a Bertram W Bradnick birth registered Coventry Apr-Jun 1916, MMN Bradnick. I can't find any trace of him apart from the birth reg, and there is a marriage in Coventry Apr-Jun 1919 between a Beatrice B Bradnick and a William E Bradbury.

These are the Bradburys in a household together in 1939 in Lawrence Saunders Road, Coventry in the 1939 register:

Beatrice E Bradbury 1894 Coventry C.B. Warwickshire
William E Bradbury 1879 Coventry C.B. Warwickshire
Gladys I Shooter (Bradbury) 1918 Coventry C.B. Warwickshire

plus three closed records.

Lawrence Saunders Road is bang on. Thank you. I'll have a look at that.

Bertram W ~ was about the only search I hadn't done. Lesson learnt.

Lawrence Saunders Road is bang on.

Yes, I looked up the address first as otherwise I wouldn't have known where to look!

Gladys was registered in 1920 and after her came two brothers. I would imagine the three closed records are probably those two brothers and Bertram.
