Trying to transcribe the signature in the bottom-right. Looks like THIV----, YORK

Not exactly sure, but would love to know.

Thwaites York. I don't think it is actually a signature but is the name of the photographer embossed or stamped on the photo. I found, by Googling, reference to a photographer "the York photographer George Thwaites who was based on Petergate" in 1905. There are lots of his photos on this site:

If you click some of the individual photos to view them, you will see the same photographer's name stamp / embossing as you have.

It's the same man as on the horse in my first post here. No idea when these were taken, but I think maybe ~1919.
