Joseph Towriss was born in either Louth or Marshchaple, both in Lincolnshire, in about 1844.

I've found him in the 1851 (in Marshchaple), 1881 (in Grimsby), 1891 (in Grimsby), 1901 (in Grimsby) and 1911 (in Grimsby) censuses.

I think this is him in 1871:

Marshchaple
Robert Towriss, head, 47, carrier, born Huggthorpe, Lincs
Eliza Towriss, wife, 47, born Ulceby, Lincs
Joseph Towriss, nephew, 27, ag lab, born Louth
Harriet ???, niece 27, dressmaker, born Leverton

I can't find him in 1861. Can anyone else track him down, please.

Thanks.

He's down as Joseph Towrass on ancestry, but I'm getting an error message trying to load the image at the moment. Same one that Merry found, and they are in Binbrook, Lincolnshire.
