Thanks - found 2x g-grandfather in 1839.

His age is 2 years out (he was 16 not 14) but his dob varies on all his Merchant Navy paperwork...

Fantastic! I have found a few from my mother's side of the family.

I think I may have found my Joseph Bridges!!!!

I'm trying to scroll back and forth in the records and keep getting a page that has 4 pictures on it - a census, a registration card, a canadian census and something that is possibly German.

Is anyone else getting that?

Could someone please look at Joseph Bridges b 1841 and b 1843. Do you get the same image for both? I'm wondering if I'm having problems with another new record set.

Thanks for looking Kate. I'll wait a few days and see if it rights itself.

I am really hopeful it is my Joseph, he wasn't on the 1861 census.

grrr still can't see the image of what is probably my Joseph. I've reported it but not heard anything yet.
