If anyone has Ancestry - are they able to look up an arrival in Victoria, Australia from this site http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=1635 of one Ann Gleeson (dob c1805) (maiden name Tierney, if it helps) - not sure if she had kids with her, as she left some older daughters behind (born 1839-1842).

She lived in Ennis County Clare, and was a widow (husband Michael)

Judy

Thanks for answering Kiwi Chris.

Firstly, I should have told you that she apparently left Ireland around 1854-1858. Her married daughter, was living in Kyneton, Victoria (a country town) in 1857. The girls she left behind, who later arrived in Melbourne Victoria in 1859 - were Ann & Katherine Frances born 1838 & 1842 - the married daughter Mary, was born about 1832. Family hearsay was that there were boys, but I've never found their births. She definitely came to Australia tho.
