Paul Bachellier was born in Spitalfields, Middlesex 19th Nov 1711, son of Paul (a silk weaver) and his first wife Ester Saumon and was baptised at L’Eglise de l’Hôpital (the Huguenot Chapel of the Hospital) in Spitalfields on 25th Nov. His godparents were his paternal uncle and aunt, Nicholas & Madeleine.

Marie Madeleine was baptised at L’Eglise de l’Hôpital 10th Jul 1720, daughter of master silk weaver Pierre Finet and his wife Marie Vasseur. Her godparents were Jean Finet (either her grandfather or an uncle) and Marguerite Petit.

The couple married at St Dunstan and All Saints Stepney 29th May 1742 and Paul was a weaver of Mile End New Town. They had eight children, all baptised at the same French church as they had been.

I haven't been able to identify their burials - there are several Paul Bachelliers buried in the unhelpful mess that are the registers of St Matthew Bethnal Green - though Paul's likely to be the 1768 burial. He was certainly dead by 1775, when Marie Madeleine is left a legacy by a relation in 1775.
