Hi

I'm looking for any help with the Vincent family from Kirton Suffolk, UK
Jermiah Vincent was born around 1788, and as a widower married Maria Keymer in 1819. They had 9 children.
I can't find any trace of his first wife or his parents. Can anybody help?

On the 1851 census Jeremiah says he was b in Felixstowe.
1851 ref: HO107; Piece: 1801; Folio: 387; Page: 16

I wouldn't be surprised if this not particularly helpful, but extracted, baptism is his:

JEREMIAH VINSON
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Event(s):
Birth:
Christening: 08 JUN 1788 Felixstowe, Suffolk, England
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parents:
Father: J. VINSON
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Messages: Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record.

There are some other Vincent baps around the same date whose parents are James and Elizabeth Vincent.

Oh yes, my OH has some Vincents in his tree and they also appear as Vinson, so the names are definitely variants of each other.

Ok - I'll start looking for Vinson as well. I know that there was a variation of Winson

how do I find a particular census ref - I tried to find that 1851 census on ancestry and couldn't find it anywhere?

You need to open the advanced search box for the 1851 census (click where it says Show Advanced Search Options) and then enter the piece, folio and page number in the boxes at the bottom. Don't enter any names etc
