I discovered this very informative 'diary' which gave me several snippets of useful information foor my newly found Gloucester relatives.

I hope others find it just as useful.

I liked the entry for todays date 1832 - 'Whit Sunday - Dr Williams baptised @ St Lawrence Church 113 children. He was thus occupied from 12 noon till 5pm'....:)

another entry for 15/4/1835 records that 'Mrs Burdock publicly hanged at Bristol for poisoning an old lady: 50,000 spectators' (gruesome lot..)

All the places are very familiar to me. I live about an hour's drive from Stroud. I also like Bath Georgian newspapers on the Bath record office web site. I like the entry prayers were held against cholera, plague and fine weather.

Thank you Anne, I will check that website out to see if I can discover any more entries about mine. I enjoy the social history the diary reveals...:D
