The Barbara Ann who married Josiah Wedge was a spinster.

The 1861 Census indicates that Barbara was born in Lambeth, Surrey c. 1808.

The whole family was given as having been born in Wandsworth, Surrey in 1851.
According to this, Barbara was born c. 1810.

This is the Fairbank family in 1841 but their names have been mangled by ancestry:

The first entry is, I think a banns book, with marginal notes if the marriage took place, so there is presumably just the one marriage, and Josiah Wedge comforted himself elsewhere.
also on the 1851 census below is elizabeth hillmore with children benjamin, jane, and edward obviously related i have also looked around there to find a link without success

I found baptisms for two of those Willmore children from the 1851 census giving their father's name as Benjamin Francis, so this is his marriage:

26 Jun 1842 St Mary Lambeth
Benjamin Francis Willmore, full age, bachelor, Gas Lighter, Brooks' Court, father William Willmore, Shoe Maker
Elizabeth How, full age, spinster, Carlisle Street, father John How, gardener
Witnesses Edward Barnet(?) and Barbara Ann Fairbank.
So Benjamin is very likely to be Barbara's brother in which case her father would be William Willmore, shoe maker, too.

The surname is definitely Willmore, not Hillmore. Also see my post #9 above.

Baptism 12 Jun 1814 St Mary Lambeth:
Mary Elizabeth daur of William & Sarah Willmore, abode Marsh, occupation Shoe Maker, born 2 Dec 1813.
A John Thomas Willmore born c 1806 in Lambeth is a dissenting minister. That might explain why Barbara is literate but has no baptism, if her parents were non-conformist.

Barbara and Benjamin's baptisms probably come in between these two:
John Thomas son of William & Sarah Willmore baptised 8 Dec 1805 St Mary Lambeth, born 6 Aug.
Elizabeth Mary daughter of William and Sarah Willmore baptised 23 Feb 1812 St Mary Lambeth, born 19 Jun.
There is also a James Thomas Willmore baptised 13 Nov 1803 at the same church, same parents.
I can see we are on the same track, Kite, as John Thomas is a son of William and Sarah Willmore

There is an online tree on Ancestry which gives the wife of William Willmore as Sarah Jordan:
http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/20735138/person/1346665957
However the marriage backing up this hypothesis is for a Thomas Willmore.
The tree calls William "William Thomas".

UK Census Online lists a William Willmore, 65, Shoe Maker, in London, not born in county, on the 1841 census, but I can't find him on ancestry or Findmypast at the moment to view the image.
There is a Barbara Ann Willmore, born in Feckenham in 1845. She dies before the 1851 census. Her parents are John Hands? Hasid? Willmore and Ann. John was born 1820, son of John Willmore and Esther Daws.
Esther is on the 1841 census in Feckenham. Unfortunately, so on the same page is a William Willmore. If this is more than coincidence, it is going to be complicated....
Does UK Census Online use the historic boundaries, Kite? Lambeth was Surrey then.

Barbara Ann was baptised 5 June 1808, born 26 Feb Ult, daughter of William by Sarah in St Margarets Westminster.
Benjamin Francis was baptised there too, with the additional information that they were living on Lambeth Marsh and William was a shoemaker.
It looks as if Sarah was still alive in 1851, aged 74, in Lombard St, St George the Martyr, Southwark. She is formerly shoemaker, born Mddx NK.
She is a visitor in the household of Sarah Willmore, aged 73, formerly hatter, born Mddx, NK
Not sure how far anyone wants me to go on this, but a Benjamin Willmore marries a Sarah Howson 30 Jan 1799 St Giles Without Cripplegate. Their son Howson is not bp until 1859 (born 1804)
Father's occupation Hatter.
William Willmore marries Sarah Winstone 6 May 1801 also St Giles Without Cripplegate. Both otp and single.
Of course, if William were born London, living in Lambeth, he would be born out of county in 1841.
