He is the brother of OH's 4x-great grandmother, Ann Caveler, who married Thomas Tuffnall.

James Caveler left a will in which he made a bequest to Ann Tuffnall.

I don't know the mother of James, Ann and the other brother Henry. Their father was Henry.

The following are mentioned in the will:

my neice Sarah Pritchett wife of John Thomas Pritchett
my neice Martha Moor wife of John Moor

Any help in piecing together the family relationships would be appreciated.

The family could well have been non-conformist, which would explain some of the difficulties I've had.

It seems there were at least four Caveler/Caviller siblings:

James c. 1750
Ann c. 1755
Henry c. 1757
Elizabeth ?

I haven't baptisms/birth details for any of them.
On reviewing the family, I don't know the name of the father. I had put in Henry, but I can't see any evidence for this.

I skirted round this before, but not with reference to James:

The Poll Books on ancestry have H Caveller listed at Hatfield in 1774:

Thanks, Kate. I wonder when they arrived at Hatfield.
